Still Not In The Halloween Spirit?

In my never ending quest to help you all get into the Halloween spirit (that is, all 100 or so of you), i've been racking my brain for all of the shows, movies, and whatever I can think of that get me personally into the mood. One of those things is Goosebumps and more specifically The Haunted Mask.

No, I don't read the book, what do you think I am, a scholar? I watch the two part television series show! Ever since I was a youth, I would watch Carly Beth and her friends succomb to the mischevious little green mask, a tradition which I still have not shaken. It's required viewing for every Halloween season, much like that Full House Christmas episode where they get locked in a toy shop is required viewing around Christmastime. And the one where they get stuck in the airport. And that other one where DJ finds out Steve is moving away to college.

In case you've been living under a rock and just have no Halloween spirit at all, The Haunted Mask is about young little Carly Beth. Carly is constantly being picked on and scared. And she scares pretty easy. She wants to upstage her tormenters this Halloween so she finds a peculiar green mask at a peculiar little mask shop and decideds to sport it instead of her planned duck costume. When Carly is wearing the mask, she turns into a monster of sorts and when she's not wearing it, well, she's never not wearing it. Once she puts the mask on, she cannot get it off.

By the way, if you're a Goosebumps fan, the Haunted Mask along with several other of the books have been re-released with new covers recently and are available wherever books are sold. I've seen them at Wal-Mart and Target lately.
