Fangoria Wants You! & Other Cool Shit!

Photobucket

If you live in the NYC area, now's your chance to become a part of the Fangoria team! The folks at Fangoria Radio just posted a MySpace blog telling how they're looking for interns for the radio show. The internship involves researching for them, answering the phones during the live Sirius show (which airs Fridays from 10pm-1am), and devoting at least 15 hours a week of your time to the show. The selected winner will recieve free swag every week in addition to working for the top horror company in the world! As if ya needed more incentive!

So how do you enter to become an intern? Well, it's real simple. Send your cover letter and resume to this address...

FANGORIA RADIO Intern Contest
250 West 49th Street, Suite 304
New York, NY 10019

....and wait. The Interview process will be unlike any you've surely ever had, but what would you expect from Fangoria? If you are chosen to be interviewed, you will have to convince them to hire you LIVE ON THE AIR! It's times like these I wish I had something to put on a resume...

Check out the Fangoria MySpace and if you have Sirius Satellite Radio, listen to the show every Friday night at 10pm!

As for the other cool shit...

Dread Central and After Dark Films, two horror juggernauts, have joined forces for the "8 Shorts To Die For" contest, a spinoff of After Dark's yearly 8 Films To Die For and they're giving away a 120G Video Ipod preloaded with four of the 8 films from last year ; Mulberry St, Unearthed, Tooth & Nail, and Nightmare Man.

What you gotta do is make a short horror film, no more than 3 minutes, and submit it HERE. And ya don't even have to win to get cool shit! Dread Central, always big givers, will be giving away 7 all access passes to After Dark's Horrorfest this year to the seven runners up!

Get started on your shorts now, they're due December 15th. I think I may have to get in on this one...

If you're a Tales From The Darkside fan (who in their right mind isn't?), tommorows gonna be a kickass day for you. From 8am-5pm, the Sci-Fi network will be airing a marathon of 18 nonstop episodes of the classic show. Included in the bunch will be Savini's Halloween Candy! <----- Watch the full episode there!

No Fringe this week due to the debate so if you'll excuse me I must grab myself a bowl of the coconut cream pie ice cream which i've become unhealthily addicted to and return to the killer ants movie i'm watching on Sci-Fi. Why do I suddenly feel like i'm bought and paid for by them?
