Mortal Kombat - The Horror Edition!

I've long dreamed of a video game that would combine all of my favorite horror villains in one epic bloodsoaked battle. A Mortal Kombat of sorts where you could pick your personal favorite baddie and cut and slash your way through the competition. Sadly, the inherent copyrights issues will prevent such a game from ever being made. Hell, we can't even get all of the Child's Play films released in one set because of such issues...

So, while will never see an officially licensed game like this, that doesn't mean we will never a see game like this. Cause we will! A couple diehard horror fans who we surely owe a lot to have teamed up to create the PC game Terrordrome : The Rise Of The Boogeymen, a one on one fighting game pitting the most popular horror characters of our time against one another in various movie environments! Ash, Scream's Ghostface, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Chucky, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, you name it!



But how professional can a fan made game really be, you ask? Well don't let me tell ya, check out the trailer!



The game is still under development but it lists on the official site that it will come out sometime this year. Now the great thing about the licensing issues is that they actually work in our favor for once. Because it would be illegal for the makers of the game to profit off of it, the game will be 100% FREE! Yes, once it is finished and released, you will be able to play the game free of charge on your PC! We must bow before the makers of this game as it's clearly a labor of love more than anything else. It's unselfish people like this that make the world go round.

There's a demo of the game on there where you can choose between Leatherface, Michael Myers, Ash, and my man Freddy Krueger! It may take you a little while to figure out how to do everything as it's kinda hard to get the hang of it on the keyboard, but after a few minutes you should be all set and ready to kick some ass! PLAY NOW! Hopefully they got Babality's in there, cause i'd love to see baby Leatherface suckin on his thumb...
