Freddy In Space gave to me...
A very special clip from the only flick with a female killer in a Santa costume, 2005's Spanish made for tv movie, A Christmas Tale!
Before I type another word, i'd like to send out a big thank you to Ross over at Anchorwoman In Peril! If it wasn't for him mentioning this movie on his blog the other day, i'm not sure I ever would have even known about it! So thank you Ross!
I also must note that the only copy of the movie I was able to track down and watch for now was in Spanish with Swedish subtitles. But I still loved the movie! And apparently "slut" means "the end" in Swedish. I've got the English subbed version coming tommorow from Netflix. The film was released as part of the 6 Films To Keep You Awake DVD set.
A Christmas Tale weaves the story of a group of Goonies style young kids who find a woman in a Santa Claus costume at the bottom of an old well one day. While they initially plan on helping her get out, they soon find out that she is a dangerous fugitive from the law who has just stolen two million pesetas, so they decide to keep her in the hole with no food in the hopes that she will eventually hand the money over to them. Which she does. When they finally get the police to the well, the woman is gone and she begins to hunt the boys down. And she's found herself a pretty large axe! Killer Santa's sure do love their axes...
Let the chase begin!
The audio's a little off, but what can ya do. You won't be able to understand what's being said anyway, nor do ya need to!
Oooooh cliffhanger! Sorry! Guess you're just gonna have to go give the film a rent!
By the way! A Christmas Tale was directed by Paco Plaza, who was one half of the directing team behind the awesome REC!
