Evil On Two Legs - Let's Take a Virtual Terror Tour

You may be saying well hey, you didn't do the Amityville house or the Strode house or the Haddonfield street, so at least they took your idea and ran with it. Well, I in fact also made this follow up post early the next morning, May 26th, 2009 :

Freddy In Space - More Fun With Google Maps

Now i'm not accusing anybody of anything here but this seems a tad bit fishy, does it not? Is it possible that two horror bloggers had the same exact idea (right down to the same chosen locations) around the same exact time and is it possible that this dude knows nothing of my site and never even saw the post I made one day prior to his? Perhaps. Is it likely? I'm gonna say probably not. Now I actually like Evil On Two Legs and read it from time to time so I don't mean to cause problems but I just wanted to clear the air on this and set the record straight for anyone who might browse both of our sites that if in fact one of us did steal from the other, you can certaintly not call me the thief (unless of course I own a time machine...hmmmmm). But again, i'm not accusing anyone of such heinous acts....

Bottom line is, being that all of us horror bloggers share at least somewhat similar brains, we're eventually gonna be blogging about the same things as each other every so often. The only gratitude we owe each other is that if we do happen to see a cool idea on another blog and want to give our own spin on it, we must credit each other (and I in fact did get the idea of using Google Maps to find filming locations from another site and guess what, I credited and linked to that site!). And on that note, we must at least put our own spin on it! What ya don't do is post the same exact thing someone else did on the same exact date and try to pass it off as your own. That's all i'm sayin....

To the fellas over at Evil On Two Legs, my apologies if this is in fact some kind of strange coincidence. In the year that i've been running this blog i've noticed numerous other horror blogs out there pirating my ideas and I just had to finally say something about it....

We may now return to regularly scheduled blogging!

Dude, I feel your pain. I was having BBQ riblets for lunch @ work today, right? And this other fuckin' guy shows up and sits at THE SAME TABLE AS ME, and he also had BBQ riblets. I was all like, "Pfft, whatever. Nice dick-move. Ass."

Um, maybe not the same thing.

STEALING IS WRONG!!!!!

Ugh, this happened to me. Some French website stole my "House of 1000 Corpses" post, I emailed them with a legal notice and they took it down though.

I never steal posts, but I sometimes homage/play off of another's post, but I always post a link to them...

If they at least put an "idea borrowed from www.freddyinspace.com" or something like that it whould be ok, but this is just plain wrong.

Ya I wouldn't mind at all if they said something like that and then posted a whole bunch of different locations then the ones I already did. Would be nothing wrong with that. But what can ya do.
