Backwoods Stole True Blood's Decaying Fox!

Photobucket

I just sat down to watch Backwoods (ya, the Haylie Duff one) and within the opening credits of the film, I noticed something rather interesting. You know that fox that time lapse decays in the awesome opening of True Blood? Backwoods totally stole it and used it in their shitty opening! Take a look!

The first clip is True Blood, followed by Backwoods.

What kinda shit is that!! Give True Blood its decaying fox back!

As for the movie itself, it actually wasn't as bad as one might expect it to be, although it's completely and utterly cliche and devoid of even a shred of originality. So ya, I guess it did suck. Not to mention it lacked the one thing that could make even a cliche and unoriginal horror flick enjoyable ; cool gory kills. It wasn't the worst thing i've ever seen but the fact that we have far better mutant family on the loose movies at our disposal (Wrong Turn 1 & 2, The Hills Have Eyes, Deliverance, and even the Gary Oldman film of the same name as this one) pretty much makes this a completely useless watch. If you're gonna make a film so by the books and so much like every other horror movie out there, at least give us some creative and brutal kill scenes, will ya!

Ugh, I've said it before - a slasher/cannibal film without cool, gory kills is like a pizza without cheese.

They probably both got it from the same BBC stock footage depository.

This looks like the same footage used in the Nine Inch Nails video for Hurt. Unless Decaying fox videos are just the up and coming thing these days :P Seems that video gets passed around quite a bit.

Adaptation, by Charlie Kaufman. Same Decaying Fox.

That footage is used over and over and over and over and over. I've seen it in at LEAST four different places myself and I've never seen Backwoods or True Blood. Good show of righteous indignation though.
