Fright Rags Limited Edition Night of the Living Dead Shirt - Available This Friday!

Photobucket

*Update* Check out a sneak peek of the design, courtesy of Fright Rags owner Ben!

Although you can't buy or even see this shirt until Friday, I wanted to post about this because this shirt is limited to only 200 pieces worldwide and if you're not in on the news right now, you'll probably miss out. So listen up!

This is the first shirt in the line that Fright Rags has dubbed their 'Artist Series' and it's a love note to one of the greatest horror films of all time, George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Designed by artist MUNK ONE, this shirt has been several months in the making and has been printed in a very limited quantity of 200 shirts and will never be printed again. It's being made available in both men's and women's sizes S-XL and will cost a little bit more than the average Fright Rags shirt, at $24.99. Lest you think this is too steep, the shirt features a 5 color front design as well as a back design and again, it's limited to only 200 shirts in the entire world, so I think it's a small price to pay for such an awesome collector's item from the greatest horror shirt company out there. You can also pick up a screenprinted poster of the design, signed and numbered by the artist and also signed by Kyra Schon - who played Karen Cooper in the movie - for $40. These posters are limited to only 100 pieces. Or you can buy both in one shot and save $10, bringing your total for both of these limited edition pieces to $54.95. The choice is yours, but you better act fast. Be sure to sign up for the Fright Rags newsletter if you haven't yet so you can not only get word the minute these go on sale but also so you can get in on a special added discount, available only to newsletter subscribers.

Whether you want to get one or both of these items, be sure to head over to Fright Rags come this Friday morning cause these puppies are gonna go real fast. Don't miss out!

Anyone planning on picking one of these shirts up?

Thanks for posting that Johnny! I'm really looking forward to finally releasing this shirt and poster! I hope everyone likes it.

Just to clarify, the front print is 4-5 colors (the 5th being an underbase so I suppose it doesn't count much) and the back is only one color. I'm not sure if I mi-wrote that somewhere, but I wanted to clarify that for you readers.

Anyway, here's a quick sneak peek at the design: http://twitpic.com/i02ry

I'm not entirely positive about this but I think this is the same artist that did the "Stripe" Gremlins design.

Unfortunately I missed out on that one, but if it's as superb as that one was then this shirt is going to be a must have!

Not sure if it's the same artist but I was lucky enough to snag one of those Stripe shirts and it's one of my favorite shirts of all time.

Is this shirt based on the awesome 1900 version? If not, why bother? Right? Right? Am I right?

Yes, it's the same artist as the Stripe shirt. Glad you like it so far!

@Anonymous - The 1900 version? Did you mean the 1990 version? Nope, this is based solely on the original 1968 classic!

Savini's remake is awesome but come on, anonymous!

Awesome. I love Fright Rags. I cherish my limited edition Friday the 13th shirt, as well as the Camp Crystal Lake water dearly. :)

Very jealous, Becky! I missed out on those. Feel free to take a picture of that Crystal Lake water sometime and e-mail me the pic ;)

the Stripe shirt also rules my life! Every time I wear it I get atleast 3 or 4 comments, like clockwork, every blessed time. Cannot wait for this shirt to be released :)

I get comments every time I leave the house wearing a Fright Rags shirt, which just so happens to be every time I leave the house!
