Heads Up - See Clive Barker's Book of Blood on SyFy!

Photobucket

Book of Blood doesn't hit DVD and Blu-ray until next Tuesday the 22nd but I just wanted to let you guys know that if you want to see it before then, tune into SyFy this Sunday night at 9pm ET. It will be broadcast only once and then after that you'll have to pick up or rent the film to check it out. So set your DVR's if you wanna see the latest Clive Barker adaptation a little bit early!

I mention this because I just watched Book of Blood last night and although it wasn't even close to one of the best Barker adaptations out there, it was definetly an above average haunted house flick. I've never read Barker's Books of Blood but i'm fairly confident that his writings were a lot deeper and more impactful than what was executed in this film adaptation but again, it's worth the watch. There isn't all that much gore, unfortunately, so I can't see SyFy cutting too much out other than a nice pair of tits and a swinging dick. Gotta have balance! Oh, and keep an eye out for Doug 'Pinhead' Bradley in a very minor cameo!

Good looking out, Carl! Love Clive Barker and love the Books of Blood…even if it’s not a great movie, I will still probably enjoy it either way. Doesn’t hurt that it’s gonna be on SyFy for a free viewing either. You should check out Books of Blood some time…good stuff!

That isnt the first time Ive gotten free credit for other peoples posts =D

My first question after I read the first paragraph on the reader was going to be "Sure, we CAN watch it, but should we?" but hey, Ill take your Leprechaun-costuming-wearing word for it and see if I can catch it this weekend.

If it sucks, Matts going to end up complaining to me though lol..

It's not the best movie ever made, but it's decent enough to warrant a watch.
