Last year, Jen allowed me to replace her beautiful green eyes with gory black abysses (as seen here), so I thought it only fair that this year she get a little revenge. A trip to the just opened Halloween Scene and $6 later and the Living Nightmare Werewolf Makeup Kit arrived in our lives. And if I do say so myself, she did a hell of a job with the cheapo contents provided. At the risk of these embarassing photos turning up at some point in my life when I don't want them to turn up (as if i'll ever be in a respectable position in this lifetime), I present to you my full transformation from a dude that looks like a werewolf to a dude that IS a werewolf! But first, here's what the kit provides.....
- Fangs
- Makeup
- Sponge & Brush
- Blood Capsules
- Werewolf Fur
- Liquid Latex
Step 1 : With black makeup, accent facial features and paint on some gnarly eyebrows.
Step 2 : Apply a white base because, ya know, werewolves always have white faces.
Step 3 : Using liquid latex as a glue, generously apply 'theatrical werewolf fur'.
I said GENEROUSLY!!
Step 4 : The finishing touches - bite down on a blood capsule, insert fangs, and toss hair wildly about.
Step 5 : Turn off camera flash so difference in color between real hair and fake fur isn't so obvious.
Transformation complete! Pose for a MySpace style mirror shot and pimp Fright Rags in the process.
Not bad, eh? I fully expected this kit to turn my face into a laughable mess, and it kinda did, but i'm actually pretty impressed with how it turned out. I'm not sure why I ended up having a streak of grey in my wolf beard, but I think Jen would consider that an artistic stroke that she'd rather not explain. Dare I say I think I ended up looking more like a werewolf than the clean shaven Cats reject pictured on the front of the packaging and really, what more can ya ask for?
Being that Jen's up next on the Halloween makeover chopping block, does anyone have any suggestions on what you'd like to see her turned into? Leave a comment and let me know. The Halloween 2009 fun has only just begun!!

J. Astro - I tell ya, i've got so much respect for any actor who undergoes hours of makeup each and every day. This whole process took less than an hour and I could barely handle it!
Wow that actually looks good. Benicio Del Toro got nothing on that wolf makeup.
I would suggest a Frankenstein make up kit for the lady! I love those make up kits, and you guys did a nice job with that one…I would love to see you guys do one of those nail through the skull type ones also!
