FEARnet's Body Bag Edition DVD's!

Now this is some awesome marketing. Went into Best Buy last night and while I intended only to pick up the Saw video game for PS3 (which I did, review to come soon!), I was presented with an offer I simply could not refuse - a large selection of horror DVD's packaged in little body bags for a mere $8.99 a piece. The awesome packaging comes courtesy of equally awesome horror site FEARnet and they're being called, quite fittingly, "Body Bag Edition's". The plastic casings zipper open in the front, much like a real body bag, with a ziploc bag type effect at the top so you can take the case out. Check this baby out!

I've never even seen the movie I bought, Drive Thru, but truth be told, even if there wasn't a movie in the selection that I wanted to buy, I still would've bought one simply because of the awesome packaging - i'm a sucker like that. I jotted down all the titles in my cell phone's notepad so you guys would know what they've got available, something that i'm sure raised a few red flags amongst Best Buy staff, so I hope you appreciate it! Here's a complete listing of all of the FEARnet Body Bag titles. Again, they're $8.99 a piece and, at least on the Best Buy website, $15 for two. I didn't see any advertising in the store for this 2 for $15 deal so I called Best Buy up just now and as far as the gal on the other end knew, it was an online exclusive deal.

You're not the only sucker. I'll be making a trip to Best Buy most likely. :)

"DRIVE THRU" totally sucks ass... though I'd consider grabbing "DEAD END" :) Cool body-bag idea, though.

I remember when they came out with the blood bag for ICHI THE KILLER dvd. I can't remember how many store employees told me not to squeeze it. That and the foam Necronomican for EVIL DEAD.

Wow thats actually an awesome collection of titles as well, Johnny if you havent seen it give DEAD END a go, I actually loved that flick even though it is widely panned. I may have to get in on this action as well, genius on their part! Way to sell, FEARnet

I saw the same thing to when I searched for Trick R Treat at Best Buy for the umpteenth time. All the ST DVD flicks look goofy though.

Oo Ginger Snaps 2 and 3. I may have to gift those, and track down a copy of the first for a couple of friends.. I love that series, I just wish the 3rd was better..

The Ugly is solid, so is Dead End despite the American DVD being full screen only.

I saw these dvds last week and bought one (fido) because it was just too cool to pass up. I now have five body bag movies and plan to get more but just to forewarn everybody don't bother buying zombie nation, the cover looks awesome but it was horrible.

Most of these Dvds are hard to find so its cool to see them being rereleased in cool packaging.
I picked up Slaughter High and I recommend everyone else to pick it up as well. Also, is the body bag edition of My Bloody Valentine the old barebones Paramount release or the new Lionsgate one?
