Happy Columbus Day Weekend!

It's too bad there are no Columbus Day horror flicks to talk about right now. Oh well, I guess this post was pointless to make....

OH WAIT! THERE IS ONE! And i'm not just gonna talk about it, i'm gonna let you sit back and watch it! I give to you.....

ADAM GREEN'S COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND! Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees are stalking the same campground and in Green's universe, they're all about not only making war, but also making sweet love! Enjoy!

Oh and by the way, I just got word straight from Green's mouth (or from his fingers, rather) that his 2009 Halloween short has been filmed and will hit the net the week before Halloween! For the uninitiated, Green (who directed Hatchet) makes a short film centered around Halloween every year. To check out all the past Halloween shorts, click this little red link. And don't worry, I will of course post 2009's short as soon as it becomes available to watch!

even though I gotta work Monday, that definitely takes away some of the sting.

Hmm ehh. I expect Adam Green's shorts to be a little better. The light saber one was hilarious. Hopefully the Halloween one will be killer.

According to the Hatchet commentary this was Adam Green's very first short film made like 15 years ago as a joke for a party. I think it's kind of unfair to even judge the quality of it and I give him mad respect for not caring if people see his earliest stuff. I love that he could give a fuck what anyone thinks and that he doesn't take himself too seriously. Most working filmmakers would never dare let people see their early work.

Pity the release date (which was supposed to be this week-end) of the "night of the demons" remake was postponed for a few months, i think that might be a good one.
