Vintage Halloween Part 3 : The Final Chapter

I thought I had tapped out all of my vintage Halloween resources with parts 1 & 2, but my dad has been cleaning out the attic lately and he stumbled upon a school diary of sorts from all the way back in 1994 that provides a few more Halloween gems from the past. So lets head into the time machine once more for the third and final installment of Vintage Halloween!

First up, we have a very eloquent story that I wrote on Halloween day of 1994....

"Once upon a time there was a witch that came out every Halloweeen. She hung a man from a tree and he died. One year 3 trick or treaters went to her house and when she opened the door the 3 trick or treaters screamed and ran away."

Beautiful. Just....beautiful.

And then we have my little recap of Halloween, written one day post Halloween on November 1st of 1994 :

"Yesterday I went to a lot of peoples houses trick or treating and got a lot of candy."

What more needs to be said? I believe that drawing is depicting me in the Scream ghost face mask, which I am proud to have donned well before Wes Craven made it cool to do so.

So what has changed since 1994? This same journal has an entry where I state that I watched Jason Goes To Hell with my family, at the tender age of 8 years old, so not so much has really changed. I still love horror movies and I still love Halloween - about the only things that have changed from then to now is that my handwriting is a lot worse and i've perhaps gotten a little bit better when it comes to recapping events! The more things change, the more they stay the same....

Incredible! That is one scary black cat. If you have any more of these, you should definitely post them!

and they didn't give you a gold star?!?

This is also known as the Amish form of blogging.

Good stuff, I love finding old stuff from yesteryear that proves we were awesome as kids. Some people put on an old coat and find twenty bucks. Me; lightsabers...

I like the second one best. Short, to the point, yet painting a detailed picture of the nights events =D
