My apologies for the lack of updates this past week but i've been all but consumed with last minute Christmas shopping since the moment I realized the big day was less than 2 weeks away (OH. SHIT.). I've literally had no time to do anything but punch my credit card number into various internet shopping carts, much to the chagrin of my checking account, but i'm not here to make excuses or make you feel bad for me or my thinning wallet, i'm here to spread a little holiday cheer - and what better way to spread holiday cheer (and get you guys back on my good side!) than to giveaway some free shit! That's easy...my credit card bill in January. Don't think that's scary? Let me show you the bill and pretend it has your name on it knowing that you owe that amount plus interest. Oh trust me it's scary. It's downright horrifying!

As much of a "fan" I am of the first two, I have to admit that I have never seen any of these three and this would be a great holiday treat.
I think the scariest thing about Christmas is those weird old ladies you run into from Black Friday to Christmas that are always at every single sale you see. Sure they may look sweet but let me tell you I've seen a couple honest to God tie up over a couple Bratz dolls..freaky people.

the scariest thing bout christmas is the fake pleasantries oozing from the mouths of everyone around you, as though that is the way people are expected to act at that time of year, so the unthinking brainwashed minds of the masses smile with their fake smiles and dish out empty niceties. as if being pleasant to people or remembering to give to those less fortunate at this one and only time of the year will actually amount to anything at all in the scheme of things when the thought doesn't cross any minds at any other times of the year.
that, and middle class soccer moms turning into rabid, attacking, demonoid beast people over the latest tickle my elmo type toy craze and attacking strangers in the shopping aisles . those are both pretty frightening things about christ-mass.

The scariest thing to me about Christmas is thinking I've gotten everyone a Christmas gift and then finding out Christmas morning that someone was forgotten. Not only is that scary but downright embarrassing, humiliating and it sure doesn't make me feel good.

Sure there's a lot of bad that goes with Christmas... shopping, traffic, humbuggers, stampedes, in laws, etc.... etc....
But it's hard to find anything as scary (and one would hope there isn't a single fathomable thing more horrifying) than the travesty that we somehow manage to find on counter tops around the world this time of year...

But instead I am gonna go with "The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas", which I watched last night with my kids.
This is such a horrible film. It isn't a good holiday movie, it isn't funny or scary, and it is barely even the Munsters anyone would recognize. It is just a big old lump of Christmas coal!

The scariest thing for me has to be that stores put up holiday decorations this year BEFORE Halloween was over!! Keep your sparkly decorations away from bats and tombstones....how dare you?!?
Oh and if that is not it. Then it has to be my least favorite thing about Halloween too.....

The scariest thing about Christmas is definitely the amount of ignorance surrounding the holiday. So many Christians are so blind to the fact that their "Holy Day" is a derivative of an astrological event that has been worshiped in pagan and eastern religions since time began and was only adapted into Christianity in order to sway the heathens into their control. Ignorance scares me.

Seeing my Aunt Laurie again. She has an ass as big as one of Jupiter's moons and she's the most annoying thing on two tree trunk sized, cellulite-ridden legs. She sits on her enormous ass expecting to be waited on, and I think she slips out the occasional egg nog and turkey scented fart. She is more horrifying than Uncle Anwar's severed head in Blood Diner.

My neighbors yearly Christmas party. They all get drunk and by 9pm they are fighting and screaming at each other. It is a yearly tradition around here.
The scariest thing about Christmas is the weather, I don't like it when it is icy, the snow is fine but I don't care for the ice, thanks.
Well, I generally am freaked out by the idea of a stranger sneaking about in my home while I am unaware. Santa, who is obese and therefore satisfies his every carnal desire, is in my home while I sleep. He is possibly looking through the windows and doors to see me and doesn't make a peep. Then I awaken to find his dirty boot prints on my clean floor and shudder, because he once was standing there doing who knows what!

I was going to be clever and on-topic and say that the scariest thing about Christmas is the post-present-opening "Garbage Day" :) But I'll go with the Christmas Eve service at my hometown church, which always ends up veering wildly between doomsday prophecies and Stepford-like cheer. Needless to say I look forward to it every year!

Scary...a holiday you don't believe in making you buy shit you can't afford for people who don't give a fuck about it. Getting a gift for someone you love a great. It's extremely satisfying to get something that means alot to someone close to you. But the gifts you buy out of obligation to not offend someone frightens me. Just think, what other holiday can make you spend money on someone you don't even speak to out of fear that you may hurt the feelings of someone you don't see or speak to the other 360+ days of the year. That's is fear.
