A Bit of a Strange Confession

So Jen and I stopped into Converse last week - she was in need of a new pair of Chuck Taylors - and while I was browsing around the store I stumbled upon a pair of kid's shoes, a tiny little size 5 to be exact, that I just had to buy for our child .... which we have yet to create. We bought them. Is that weird? And are these not the coolest little shoes ever?

Now we have no plans to have a kid at any point in the even remotely near future, but we figured A) we're gonna have one eventually, B) when we do, we want him or her to be wearing these sneakers and C) they will most likely no longer be available by the time we do get around to it, so why not just pick 'em up now. Makes sense, no? Anyone?

If you find that a tad bit odd, then I guess I shouldn't tell you that we contemplated picking up the same pair of shoes in a couple different sizes - ya know, so our little monster never grows out of them. It was Jen's idea, I swear...

Makes total sense. Reasons A, B, and C are valid. My boyfriend and I already have a skull-and-cross-bones infant beanie and chuck taylor 'shoe socks' for newborns. We also have a GRACE bottle, though we might not actually use it...

I'm thinking about buying a pair of the shark Chucks. No one will mess with my kid on the playground, not with fins on his/her shoes.

Super cute! And they would probably fit my feet because I am little and have the littlest feet on a grown person ever! I actually buy my sneakers from the kids' shoe store, cause it's cheaper.

Love this!

Awesome shoes!!!
I wonder if they make them in a size 4. I would love to get my hands on some, or should I say feet? Lol.

You wanted them for yourself and you are going to try to squeeze your own feet in them. That's the truth, no?

Abby - Ya, they had a size 4.

Sarah - You got me!

How did I miss this. I know they are supposed to be crocodiles or something....but I want to envision them as particuarly nasty frogs :D

Cool shoes, and a great story to tell your kid. Awesome!

Cheers!
