I got an e-mail a couple weeks back from a fellow by the name of Joshua Zaitz, an artist who said he was an avid reader of this here blog. Turns out Joshua, under the title Popsic Art, specializes in whimsical 3D artwork set to the tune of figures from all aspects of pop culture; everything from John Lennon to Batman to Santa Claus. Josh inquired if I was interested in hosting a giveaway for one of his 3D Freddy Krueger pieces and naturally, I jumped at the chance to giveaway a cool piece of art to you guys, as I always tend to do. Though a mere picture of the 3D pop art doesn't nearly do it justice, you can get a good idea of what the Freddy piece up for grabs looks like below.

While the Elm Street house background is one layered, the custom drawn image of Freddy is done in several layers, making it appear as if Freddy is popping out of the image at you. Pretty cool, eh? Want some 3D Freddy action on your wall? Here's all ya gotta do to enter!
Leave a comment below with your e-mail address and a brief sentence or two telling me why you want this piece of art in your home. Giveaway is open to everyone and will run through next Thursday, February 10th.
Good luck and be sure to head over to Popsic Art to see the rest of Joshua's work, including a 3D tribute to Jason Voorhees! Joshua can also make custom pieces for you, which you can find out how to snag on the site.

I have been a loyal Freddy fan since his 1st appearance way back in 1984. 27 years later, Mr. Krueger and I are still together!
I'd like a Freddy print because I'm greedy- and also a horror fan. But at least I'm an honest, greedy horror fan.

I would like this piece of art because I LOVE Freddy(Jason is a close second) and I don't have barely any horror paraphernalia anymore (oh the things we'll sell to pay rent). So I would love to have this in my house to greet my friends and family, also his smile makes me smile.
The reason I think that I should win that fine piece of art is that I've always been a huge NOES fan.I remember at a very early age in the 80's "sneaking" into the theater and catching the latest Elm St. flick. The series always captured my imagenation then and it still does today.chrisgarrison2007@yahoo.com
I'd like to own this artwork because over the course of a year (2008-2009), I watched every Nightmare film in order, and for the first time ever. Sitting through that, I definitely deserve some sort of prize :)

I'd like to win this piece of art because then my wife couldn't gripe that I spent money on something like this. She just doesn't get it! HA!!

I am an avid Nightmare and Robert England fan. Would be a great addition to my collection. I really like this piece as it reminds me of all the craziness that can happen when your in the dream world with Freddy.

I want this first of all because Freddy has a special place in my heart as Dream Warriors was the first horror flick I ever saw. Also, this is by far the best Freddy's ever looked in 3d, and hopefully the last time we see him that way.
It is such a great piece of art and I would hang it in the middle of my home with a spot light on it. I would give it the respect as if I were hanging the Mona Lisa. I love this piece. I must own it.
