Drew Daywalt is one of the most exciting up and coming genre filmmakers out there, which is why i've decided to profile some of his kickass short films over the course of several different posts to come. This was something I intended to kickoff a couple weeks back, being that i'm a big fan, but today was the kick in the pants I needed, as news just broke that Daywalt will be writing a remake of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, which George Romero will be directing and, wait for it ... Tom Savini will be doing the effects for. To this I say, FUCK. YES. In any event, Drew Daywalt is a pretty profilic filmmaker over on YouTube, where he unleashes new short films all the time.
