The General Mills Monsters Are About To Get Even Cuter!

Funko has for the last several years focused their attention on one thing and one thing only; turning pop culture into collectible toys. With everything from plushies to bobbleheads to little vinyl figurines, they have thus far allowed us to play with everyone from Freddy Krueger to Ronald Reagan, the cast of The Jersey Shore to the combatants in Mortal Kombat, and Edgar Allen Poe to Alan from The Hangover. They won me over long ago with the lure of cuddling with Michael Myers, but it's their upcoming line of General Mills Monster Cereals vinyl figures and plushies that has really stolen my heart. If you're like me and go to sleep at night dreaming of blue and pink tinted milk and marshmallow bats, then I expect you'll love these as much as I!

These will all be unleashed sometime in August and can be pre-ordered through various outlets, though I recommend you hit up House of Mysterious Secrets for them!

As evidence of my hardcore love for these three pop icons, I now turn your attention to two posts from the past; 1) my ode to the monster cereals, posted wayyy back in 2008 and 2) my recap of last year's Halloween weekend, where I dressed up as none other than the good Count Chocula and won myself a costume contest!

How cool would it have been if they also offered Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy!?!?!

They really should, at least in some kind of limited edition form!

We've never received any of these cereals in the UK- so without having ever tasted any of them, I'm assuming you're just a cereal obssessive like in Seinfeld.

I'll actually be in Texas for Halloween this year, so I may try one of these cereals. It seems apt!

Funko definitely has some amazing toys I just can't resist, and these are no exception!

Thanks for the heads up on these, I'll be keeping an eye out for them!
