Syfy's 31 Days of Halloween : The Full Schedule!

Photobucket

Despite the fact that they play a lot of shitty movies and I likely already own all of the good ones they play, I always love Syfy's 31 Days of Halloween, when they devote the entire month of October to horror movies and television shows (even if they kinda already do that year round...). There's just something about having horror movies playing all day on the TV that always inspires me and this time of the year I often leave the channel on in the background at all times to guide me through my day. It's nice to have a constant stream of horror without having to play DJ, which I guess is why I love when horror movies are on TV, even if I already own those same movies on DVD. Fact of the matter is that i'm kinda lazy and sometimes sliding a DVD into my PS3 can require far too much effort. But i'm getting a little too off topic here so i'll shut up now.

Earlier this morning I popped over to Syfy's website to check out this year's 31 Days of Halloween schedule and I was surprised to find that it looked pretty sparse, with only a couple movies/shows listed for each day. Was Syfy scaling back or was this just not the complete schedule? A quick browse through their regular scheduling calendar and I realized this thankfully just wasn't the full 31 Days schedule. Some genius over there just decided to toss up a couple things that were airing each day, which is super lame if ya ask me.

So I decided to take it upon myself and spend my entire morning painstakingly going through Syfy's programming schedule to bring you folks a complete listing of every horror movie and TV show that is airing as part of the 31 Days of Halloween marathon for the remainder of October. If you wanted to get this information you'd have to go through their calendar day by day and I just don't want you to have to do that. You can thank me when you're enjoying shitty Syfy originals all month long!

My advice? Print it out and place it on your coffee table so you don't miss a beat!

Thank you for the list, I've been wondering about it. Whenever I turned SyFy on the last few days it didn't seem much like Halloween (sorry, a Ghost Whisperer marathon just doesn't count). Though I'm not too happy to see many of the same things they played last year, a lot of it feels like filler. But all the same I'm glad its starting to reflect the season.

As soon as I see it! Which could be this coming weekend. Possibly!

Great schedule and really a ball dropped by Syfy themselves. I mean, shouldn't they be promoting their own stuff? Sheesh!

But thanks, Johnny! And super-stoked that they have included Friday the 13th: The Series here and there!

I spend a scary amount of time planning my TV recordings, so I am familiar with Syfy & Chiller's abysmal online schedules (always fun figuring out whether they're showing the remake or the original - and autoplaying video clips are always super welcome in my book!).

One BIG tip, if you're just in it to see what movies are coming on for the next few months, run this specific search: Keyword: Movie. Now, I see that you took the time to portion out *all* the horror (which is awesome of you to do), but that's just a tip I use the rest of the year. I just wish FACE/OFF were coming on this October instead of Scare Tactics.

Also helpful? <a href="http://www.locatetv.com>LOCATETV</a>. You can "Pick" any TV episode (new or old) or horror movie you wanna see, and they'll email you a week before it airs on TV. Super helpful this time of year, when Syfy will NOT show everything you'd expect them to. I brought it up here before, but they deserve lots of praise, because it's extremely tiring searching through TV schedules. LocateTV handles the hard work for you.

Thanks for the tips, MW. The one thing I wanted to clear up that their website didn't was whether some of these are the originals or remakes, but I really had no way of knowing that information. In most cases i'm gonna assume they're the remakes though.
