Trailer Of The Week : Cabin In The Woods

The decision of what to feature as this week's Trailer of the Week was incredibly easy, considering we were finally given our first look at The Cabin In The Woods, a film that up until last week we pretty much knew absolutely nothing about ... other than that it was about a cabin ... in the woods. Written by uber TV creator Joss Whedon & Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard and directed by Goddard, here is our very first peek inside The Cabin In The Woods, a film which promises to "turn the horror genre inside out"!



Awwwww ya. Been waiting for this for a loooong time now and it's looking like this baby is not gonna dissapoint. The name of the game here seems to be taking a generic slasher flick formula and filtering it through the minds of two geniuses to deliver a completely fresh and new take on that formula and I for one am highly intrigued and quite looking forward to seeing what Whedon & Goddard have come up with. Gotta consider this my most anticipated fright flick of 2012 thus far. Who's with me?

Now that said, does anyone else kinda wish that the film remained completely shrouded in secrecy right up until its theatrical release? Can't help but feel like they had a great thing going with all the Cloverfield-esque secrecy and it seems the load has been kinda blown on that a bit too quickly. Nevertheless, i'm sure the film is still gonna blow minds come April!
