Take A Bite Out Of The Short Film Waffle : You'll Never Look At Breakfast The Same Way Again!

Around this time last year, filmmaker Rafael De Leon Jr. sent a screener copy of his short film Waffle my way, which at the time was just about to head into various festivals around the country. I quite liked the five minute short but since it wasn't available to watch online anywhere at that time, I didn't feel the need to blog about it or say to you folks, "Hey, let me tell you about this cool short film that you can't watch!". Just seemed kinda pointless, so I held off.

Cut to a few days ago, a solid year after I originally watched the short. Fresh off of film festival premieres and wins, I am happy to report that De Leon Jr's blood saturated Waffle is now available for mass consumption online. So l'eggo your Eggo and munch into Waffle below, a short that in mere minutes manages to effectively evoke the spirit of disturbed lonely girl flicks like Lucky McKee's May!

A disfigurted science fair champion invites her new friend over for dinner, but by the time dessert comes around, the two schoolmates will discover each other's true, unpleasant natures.
