Vintage Video Of The Week : The Norman Bates School Of Motel Management!

Way back in 1976, Anthony Perkins guest hosted Saturday Night Live for the first and only time, during the very first season of the show.  One of the skits Perkins took part in had him reprising his role as Norman Bates, a character made famous 17 years prior in Psycho.  Yep, that's right, before Perkins reprised the role in the three Psycho follow-ups which began in 1983, he got his Bates on for SNL!

Head back to 1976 and check out the skit below, wherein Perkins poked fun at the character for a faux commercial for the Norman Bates School Of Motel Management!

I'm gonna go with Option C on all counts, Mr. Bates!

My gods! I am a great fan of Anthony Perkins--so much so that I received sympathy cards when he died even thought I've never met him. I swear, I haven't seen this clip since it originally aired.

Thank you so much for posting it!
