Though he's starred in six films and has been sent off to everywhere from space to the ghetto (..and back again), there has been surprisingly very little merchandise put out over the years in honor of everyone's favorite diminutive little Irish demon. Despite being a pretty darn marketable little bugger, the Leprechaun has time and time again been given the shaft on the merchandising front, with a planned action figure and even mini bust being cancelled before ever hitting the market. And that's about where the merchandising history begins and ends (aside of course from that rare promotional bendy toy).
Which is why it's so exciting, for Warwick Davis fanboys like myself, that the Leprechaun is finally being shown some love, at least when it comes to Halloween. A couple years back an entire Leprechaun costume was put out, with the mask hitting the market on its own shortly thereafter. I've still yet to attend a Halloween party as a six foot tall Warwick, but it's only a matter of time.
Anyway. This year, Spirit Halloween gives the Leprechaun the infamous hanging head treatment, with a 15 inch hanging Leprechaun that is exclusive to their store. Aint he purdy?
