Kill Of The Week : Bloody Moon

Photobucket

We head to Germany for this week's epic Kill Of The Week, which comes to us courtesy of the 1981 film Bloody Moon, directed by Jess Franco.  Bloody Moon was made to cash in on the American slasher craze of the time, and as such contains many sequences of brutal gore.  The most infamous of such scenes involves a power saw cutting a woman's head clean off, a scene so confrontational that it was largely responsible for Bloody Moon ending up on BBC's Video Nasties list, a list of films deemed too horrific for mass consumption.  As a result of winding up on that list, over 1 minute was cut out of Bloody Moon for many years (including the saw scene), before Severin Films restored that lost footage with their 2008 DVD release.

So sit back, put your rain slicker on and enjoy this week's Kill Of The Week; the infamous power saw sequence, in full, from Bloody Moon!!

You can see every uncut second of Bloody Moon by picking up Severin's 2008 release over on Amazon today!
