WTF?! Don Post's Michelle Myers Mask

So I was bumming around eBay the other night when I stumbled upon an auction (which has since ended) for the above mask, which I assumed some whack job hand painted as some sort of weird goof.  As I dug a little further, I discovered an even more bizarre truth; this is a mask that was officially released back in 2001 by Don Post Studios, the company that made the original Captain Kirk mask in 1975 which was turned into the infamous Michael Myers mask.  You serious, Clark?!

Yes I am, Cousin Eddie.

They called it the "She Mask", and I'd imagine the only reason for it existing was that the company felt like they could put out any variation of a Myers mask possible, and fans would gobble it up.  I guess they were right, because apparently the tranny Myers mask has become quite rare and valuable over the years, so much so that I never even knew about it until I stumbled upon that auction.  Though that probably has less to do with it being a hot seller and more to do with it being pulled soon after being released, once they finally snapped back to reality and realized just what the hell they had done here.

Is this not the scariest mask ever made?  I mean think about it.  That's William Shatner's goddamn face, painted completely white and all dolled up with makeup.  Fuckin' creepy as shit, man!  If Leatherface ever got a hold of Shatner, this is probably what the end result would've looked like!!

I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this mask is utterly horrifying, because the mask was actually used in The Poughkeepsie Tapes, that movie that was made back in 2007 but has still not seen release of any kind, despite the positive reviews it has gotten over the years.  Still haven't gotten around to watching it, though I hear it's on YouTube in full.

Anyways.

Ya gotta wonder.  If Michael had a Michelle to hang around with ... would he still have been so obsessed with killing his sister?!
