Behold! The Freddy In Space Papercraft!!

I probably need not sing the praises of artist Frank Browning again, being that I already did a bunch of that earlier in the week.  Remember that post I made on Monday about Fright Flicks cards, and what the wrappers would look like if the cards were re-released nowadays, with current day horror icons on them?  Well those images were the work of Mr. Browning, so head back and check out that post to become well acquainted with him and his work, if you haven't yet.  Even if you have, the gallery is awesome enough to warrant a second viewing!

Around the same time I approached Frank about working together on that post, I also messaged him about another project idea I had in mind.  Naturally, given the title of this blog, the image of Freddy Krueger in a space suit has become sort of the mascot of Freddy In Space, and I proposed to Frank that he whip up a papercraft model of that very character, which you guys and gals could cut out and build for yourself at home.  It was something I knew Frank was capable of, being that he has dabbled in papercraft in the past, and boy did he deliver big time on this one.  Doesn't he always, though?!

So here it is, the official Freddy In Space papercraft model.  Below you will find an image of the completed work, which Frank himself cut out and built (my printer is all out of ink!), with a link below the image that will take you to the sheet you need to print out in order to build one for yourself.  Simply follow the instructions provided and cut and put together your very own Freddy In Space paper toy ... no glue required!!

PRINT OUT YOUR OWN!!

If anyone does in fact build one of these, I would love to see it.  So please do drop me an e-mail (MORTIS45@AOL.COM) with an image of your handiwork.  Would love to see Space Freddy in all kinds of whacky locations.  Kind of like that gnome in Amelie.

So cool and I'm so honored that my blog has its own papercraft project.  Huge thanks once again to Frank Browning for being so awesome and talented.  I've got a feeling that he and I have a lot more awesomeness headed your way in the near future.  In fact, I can guarantee it!

You can see more of Frank's art, including all the stuff he has done for me, over on his CGHUB & Deviant Art pages!
