Now here's something truly awesome, which once again shows that Fright Rags is one of the greatest companies out there. While most companies are looking to merely generate a profit to line their own pockets, Fright Rags owner Ben has time and time again proven that he's out for not just himself, but for those who need the help of others most.
That beautiful poster you see above (art by Gary Pullin ... CLICK HERE FOR FULL SIZE!), is Ben's latest act of goodwill, which has been nearly two years in the making. Dubbed Survive Limited Edition, the 18"x24" 8 color screenprint (with a glow in the dark layer!) features and is signed by the final girls in the first four Friday The 13th films; Adrienne King, Amy Steel, Dana Kimmel & Kimberly Beck. Limited to only 175 prints, the poster is a celebration of survival, with 60% of the proceeds going directly to four different charities that raise awareness for, and help, victims of domestic violence. The four charities were chosen by the four final girls, to ensure the money does as much good as it possibly can.
The posters will be released on Friday, September 21st, at midnight EST, and will be selling for $89.95 a pop. I'm honestly normally against companies whipping up limited edition posters like this and selling them for so much money, but again, this is not about Ben lining his own pockets, it's about providing aid and assistance to battered women who so desperately need it. Please keep that in mind when you consider ordering one for yourself. Yes, it is an incredibly awesome poster to frame up nice and display on your bedroom wall, but this one is all about the greater good, at the end of the day.
In the US alone, a woman is assaulted or battered every 9 seconds. Let's help those women fight back.

I'm constantly amazed and proud of what my little brother has done with gift of graphic arts and his passion for the horror community. A couple of years ago, he released a breast cancer awareness limited edition shirt to help benefit a friend going through treatments and now this!! A job well done, Ben! Other companies should take your lead so more people will benefit.
Very cool, indeed!
