As much as I would love to tell you that this is a real poster for a real movie, it unfortunately is not. Well, actually, it is a real poster. It's just not a real movie.
Ya see, my boy Rondal Scott, who runs the super awesome blog Strange Kids Club, has just launched a new limited edition art series through his blog, with the theme of the series being sequels that never were, thereby allowing us all to hang kickass posters on our walls for horror movies that don't actually exist. Yea, pretty cool, I know.
The first in the series is the above Burning 2 poster, whipped up by artist Nathan Thomas Milliner. It's a full size 18"x24" digital print, hand numbered and limited to 100 pieces, and it's currently available for pre-order for $35. You can get it exclusively over at Strange Kids Club!
Though there was obviously enormous sequel potential back in the 80's, a sequel to The Burning was apparently at no point even planned or discussed. I guess it was just way too similar to way too many other slasher flicks of the time, which resulted in it kinda getting lost in the mix. Sad face.
