Friday Fun Fact : 1/11/13

Did you know...

In an effort to give The Hills Have Eyes a similar aesthetic to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, released three years prior, Wes Craven and producer Peter Locke hired Chainsaw's art director, Robert A. Burns, to be the art director on Hills.  Burns decorated the cannibal clan's cave with many props that were previously used to decorate the Chainsaw set!

Robert A. Burns went on to serve as art director for many horror films in the '70s and '80s, including Tourist Trap, The Howling and Re-Animator.  Burns was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2004, and opted to take his own life that same year.  He was 60 years old.
