As far as paperweights go, they don't get any cooler than this one, which was whipped up to promote Paramount's VHS release of Silver Bullet, back in 1986. The paperweight featured an actual silver bullet, encased in a nice little hunk of glass. In the event of a werewolf attack, simply smash the paperweight, retrieve the bullet, and aim for the right eye!!

That's pretty badass.
So you have to smash the paperweight, then retrieve the bullet from amongst the broken shards of glass (dangerous), then load the bullet into a gun (which you just conveniently happen to have handily lying around), then take careful aim (because you`ve only got one shot obviously), then fire and kill the werewolf. I think while you were doing all that the werewolf would be ripping your guts out ! ! !. Although admittedly the paperweight itself is still pretty cool, like you said.
