Did you know...
Jaws was the very first film to be released on LaserDisc, in North America. It came out on December 11th of 1978, back when LaserDiscs were known by the original name for the disc based movie format; DiscoVision!
As an interesting little foot note to this factoid, the DiscoVision release of Jaws was re-released a few years later, and on the cover of that release, the iconic nude female swimmer's breasts were a lot more obscured by the water, than they were on the cover of the original 1978 release. Not cool. Not cool at all.
