I think by now it's pretty much common knowledge that the two fishermen/hikers Ash and the gang drive past in the early moments of Evil Dead are Sam Raimi and the film's producer, Rob Tapert. But did you know that this little easter egg is revealed in the film, during the scene where the group is listening to the fateful tape recorder?
The recitation of the passage from the Book of the Dead, which turns trees into rapists and sweet innocent young ladies into demonic she-beasts, sounds mostly like genuine Latin, though there's a line of total gibberish thrown into the mix. Did you spot it?
At 10 seconds into the video I uploaded above, you'll hear the following line; "Sam and Rob das ist hikers dan dee roadsa." Once you see those words typed out, it's pretty clear that the translation of that is; Sam and Rob are the hikers on the road!
So it seems, the key to unleashing the ultimate evil unto the earth is simply by revealing that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert have a cameo in Evil Dead.
Oh .... shit. I just did that, didn't I? My bad!!

Hooray! For once I knew some trivia. I think it is Arabic when he (Bob Dorian) reads that line. I only know this from my buddy's dead website.
